Yes, it's been a long time since I posted something on here. I am sorry to have been gone for so long. There has been some excitement in our lives over the last 13 months. Some of it may be Angel related, a lot of it I am sure is from God, and a lot of it is unbelievable. Check back this week. I will be updating this sight very soon.

Don't Pray to Angels

You can find hundreds, maybe thousands of books about Angels. In these you will find the names and types of Angels you have never heard of. Then you have to wonder where this information came from. The first thing you need to know is that the bible only names a few Angels. It does not give you a list of hundreds of Angels names and their duties. It does however indicate that the number of Angels may also equal the number of humans on the earth.

I believe that God sends Angels as protectors, watchers and messengers. He also assigns certain tasks to them, that we may never even know about. If we have a guardian Angel, which is possible given the theory of the number of Angels, those guardian Angels can do anything for us unless instructed by God.

The Bible clearly states that we are to go to the Lord with our concerns, our needs and our worship and praise. You are not to call or worship an Angel in anyway. Remember that Satan was an Angel, and remember that the Nephalim came from another group of watcher Angels. So be warned, if you call on an Angel, if you pray to an Angel, if you in anyway entreat or treat an Angel in the same way you do the Lord, you may in fact be visited by an Angel, but you can be certain that Angel is not an Angel of God.

Groups of Angels

My research over the last several months has shown some definite indications that there are several groups of Angels. You have the group that is in Heaven, and sometimes sent to earth to intervene. These are the Angels that have remained faithful to serving God.

Then you have the fallen Angels, which is divided into two groups. First research, and I may have erred the first time I wrote about them, are the Watchers, the fathers of the Nephilim. These were the Angels that God set to watch over mankind. They fell from his grace when they lusted after the earth women and took them as wives, that gave birth to the Giants, the Nephilim, the Anakim and others, the men of renown as stated in the Bible. The second group of Fallen Angels are the ones who followed Satan in rebellion against God. Make note that these are definitely two different groups, and I may have indicated before that they were one and the same.

You also have the group that stays in Heaven, worshipping God at all times. These Angels never leave the throne room of the Almighty. Their purpose is to constantly praise him. You also have the selected Angels such as Gabriel and Michael that are designated to do special tasks assigned to them by God.

Now you also have another group of Angels, the second group of Watchers. These are the Angels that presently watch over mankind, and often intervene when God instructs them too! These are the Angels that you hear about in testimonies of Angel sightings. They appear as another Human or they may appear as a light, or they may stay completely out of sight while completing their assigned tasks.

There are many articles all over the Internet, and many books written that indicate that the first group of Fallen Angels are associated with UFOs and Alien sightings. This may or may not be true. The Bible says they were destroyed in the great flood, and that God sent an Angel to bury some of them in the deep within the recesses of earth, but the truth is that they may have escaped, and could be walking this earth now.

Since they turned from the will of God, and actually set themselves up as Gods in certain countries around the earth, (see "the Chariots of the Gods")then, with what powers they had, they very well could have moved on to other planets and mated with the creatures or inhabitants there. We cannot discount the fact that there could be life on other planets, since God is all powerful, how can we be so self centered to think that we are the only race he created.

More on the Fallen Angels

We have done our research, and talked about the fallen angels. How they came to earth, and how they found the daughters of man desirable and mated with them. Their offspring were the Nephalim, the giants, the men of renown throughout the history of biblical times. God sent the flood to destroy the earth, and the the evil that was brought down by the fallen angels.

But one must wonder, if they and their offspring were all destroyed. In the research, it shows us that they also taught their wives enchantments, incantations, herbology , tools for witchcraft and magic. And since those things still exist today, then they were not all destroyed.

Then you also have to ask the question, that if the Angels had all the knowledge of magic, witchcraft, incantations, magic and enchantments, why would God allow them to have this knowledge when the Bible clearly states that we are to stay away from all of this. Did he use this? and why would he even have created these processes if they were evil.

Why would they be necessary in any way? and if he didn't create them, why would he would he allow them to come into existence if they were against his rules? There are so many questions that could arise from this.

Every Church that I have gone to, seems to stay away from preaching on this subject. I wonder why that is. If it is an evil, then shouldn't they be instructing the people to stay away from it? Shouldn't they be teaching the children to stay away from it, but, honestly, since I became a Christian in 1993, I have not heard one preacher preach on this subject.

More About Angels

In 1975 Billy Graham wrote a book called "Angels, Ringing assurance that we are not alone". If you can find a copy somewhere I would suggest picking one up. Believe it or not, I got mine at a rummage sale for ten cents, but is worth so much more. His first chapter is entitled " Are Angels God's Secret Agents." He goes through a few occurrences that could be angel related. The first one is about a Chinese mother with a baby strapped to her back. She goes into a field to cut grass when she hears a roar, and there stands a mother tigress with two cubs. She had been converted to Christianity by missionaries a few years earlier, so when she saw the Tigress she shouted out "O Jesus, Help me" and the tigress turned and ran away.

Some skeptics would say something else scared the animal and it took to its heals, but those of us who believe in our lord Jesus, know that something else was at work in a situation like this. Psalms 91:11 says " he will give his angels charge of you. to guard you in all your ways (RSV) If we have studied our bible, we know that God has myriads of angels. Some believe there is an Angel for every soul born on the earth. If there are that many angels, and in fact one for each person born, then why would anyone discount that we could have a guardian angel. If we do have a guardian angel, they still only interfere under the orders of God.

Stop and think about it, I'm sure you can think of situations where something disastrous was destined to happen, and then something happened to stop it. Maybe you have been driving, and a car is headed straight for you, and then all of a sudden it stops or veers in another direction. Have you ever started to fall, and some how or another, you end up turning in another direction and miss the fall?

If you look at different events in your life, I'm sure you will see a lot of events that could have been disastrous, but for some reason they never happened, something always stopped them. Falling objects miss your head, a car misses your car, you skid toward the brink of a ravine and your car stops, a bullet misses you, you fall toward a sharp object, but something changes the direction of your fall, a place you just left catches on fire, after you leave....I could go on and on.

I'm sure you have heard stories from other people, where someone showed up just in time to save them from injury or death, and then the person disappears. These are our angels. Don't get me wrong, they are not at our beck and call, they have specific instructions from God concerning our well being, so don't go jumping in front of a car or off a cliff because you think you can call your angel to save you.

Angels are the secret agents of God. When disaster comes our way, if it is not intended by God to affect us, then the Angels deter it from hurting us. Disasters happen every day, and people are hurt and killed. That doesn't mean they didn't have an Angel, it means that God decided it was their time to go.

Whats Happened to the Churches

Please note, this is my opinion. As an American I have the right to voice my opinion. I can remember when the Minister, Preacher, or Pastor (depending on where you went to church) preached a sermon about sin, accepting Jesus, the way the bible says you should live.

I watched a TV preacher today and what he preached really disturbed me. He continually talked about money. He used examples of himself, but by the time he was done, you could see that he was quite wealthy. At least he didn't want for anything. He spoke about how he didn't have much money and found a trailer for 100.00. He prayed to God for the money, and before it was done, several people had given him 100.00.

Now I've been in Churches where people have handed others money, because they felt God told them to. That is all well and fine, but this guy went on about how he got a check for 5000.00 for royalties. He spent 3000.00 on bills and was going to buy clothes with rest. He said he was asked to sow a seed of 1000.00 into a telethon. He didn't want to, but did it anyway. Then he went on to name several events where he got phone calls from people saying God told them to buy him some clothes.

Of course, they didn't buy him cheap clothes. In fact he said one women from Memphis bout him four brand new suits every 6 months for about 2 years. Another incident he speaks of is where he was in another country, went in to buy clothes, and two Pastors from the area came in and bought the clothes for him.

Then he starts talking to the congregation, telling them that he is going to pray for 1000 of them to have a debt free home, to have a Boaz blessing (what he is blessed with, they will be blessed with) and to be debt free (now here's the catch) if they sow a seed of 1000.00 into his ministry.

During the course of his sermon, he talks about cars he has been given, airplanes, watches, money, and suits. He received 150 watches in one day according to what he says. He gave them away to preachers in Nigeria. He says he has innumerable suits hanging in his closet with the tags still on them. Why doesn't he give them away?? He talks about how much wealth he has now.

I'm not saying that his blessings aren't good. They are good for him. I am glad when people are blessed. But what I am saying is that he is boasting that these blessings will happen to others if they do what he says to do.

What does this sermon tell us? In my opinion, it is proof positive that so many of the television ministries are all about the money. I could have understood if it was a ministry that needed money, but from the way he spoke, and what I could see, this ministry seems to be doing very well.

Most of the Churches I have gone to throughout my Christian life (and I've been to some big ones that had rich members and to some small ones that had poor members) always prayed over the offering before it was collected, and their prayers were always “God bless those that can give, and bless those that cannot give.” Now if the Church was in financial trouble, they might take up a special offering once in a while to pay a bill. But at no time did they make a person feel like they had to give what they did not have to give.

I felt like this preacher was saying, don't buy any food, even though need it, let your bills go, don't get anything you need until you have scraped together 1000.00 to put into my ministry.

Yes, ministries need money to run on, thats a given. But if you look at the bible, the church members always gave what they could. If they didn't have much money, they did work in the Church, such as maintenance, cleaning, repairs, yard work, painting and such.

That was done for free on their part, so it saved the Church from having to pay some one to do it. If they didn't have money to give, the women would send baked goods and meals to the Pastors family to help feed them. There again, it save on the groceries the Pastor would have to buy for his family. Sometimes the farmers would bring in baskets of corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, green peppers and other produce and give it to the Pastors family. Again here is another savings in groceries for the Pastors family. All of these services saved the Church money, so it was essentially the same as giving the Church money.

The Members would donate to Church rummage and bake sales. Here was another way there was money made to help the Churches finances. They would have a food drive for families that were in need. They would have a food drive to set up a food bank for the poorer members and members of the community to take advantage of. Everything was a donation basis. No demands were made. These churches grew in the community, because they were bible based, teaching churches.

There were so many ways that the members got together to make sure the Church and their Pastor was taken care of. Believe it or not, that still goes on in some rural and city Churches. This is the way the bible explains it is to be done. Nowhere in the bible other than paying tithes, does it say you are not supposed to pay your debts or see to your families needs, and give that money to the church.

If you read your bible, people brought in offerings from their livestock, produce and grains from their fields. Always a certain part of this was designated to the priests and their families to feed them. Land was also donated for them to live on.

Giving comes from the heart, not the pocketbook. This man is promising people that if they give 1000.00 to his ministry, they will be repaid 10 times over. God says that n the bible,but I am sure he is talking about giving from the heart. Give out of what you have, not out of what you don't have.

If God tells you to give something, that is different, but this man is not God, he is just a man, and he is promising something he himself cannot deliver.

Sure it takes money to run a big ministry like his, and from the looks of it he had quite a large congregation, and many of them looked like they weren't hurting in the financial department. But if the ministry is in the red, and needs money, maybe he should sell one of the classic cars that was given to him, or one of his airplanes he said were given to him.

He talked about sowing a seed. You can sow a seed without every reaching in your pocketbook for money you don't have. Every time you willingly and cheerfully help an elderly person with their groceries, you are sowing a seed. Every time you stop to help someone on the street, you are sowing a seed, every time you hold the door open for someone, every time you pray for someone, every time you say “God Bless You”, you are sowing a seed.

Every time you donate clothing or household goods to a Church sale, or Salvation Army or someplace like that, you are sowing a seed. Every time you volunteer your time to work at the Church, or help an elderly or disable person with their yard work, every time you watch out for the neighborhood kids, you are sowing a seed.

Many of us today are straining at our pocketbooks as it is, and this man is basically telling us to forget about our bills, our rent, and our families needs to put a 1000.00 in his ministries. With the amount of people I saw in this Church, if they donated services and goods the way that smaller churches did, then the money saved by the Church not having to spend money on these things, would be enough to keep that ministry going well.

It is all well and good to give money, if you have it to give. But it is also good to be a servant in the areas that are needed, when you don't have the money to give. Your time and service is just as valuable as the money others are able to give.

Questions About Satan

Was Satan thrown out of Heaven before or after he plagued Job. Some research says that he was thrown out when Jesus Ascended to heaven.
Satan is described as being the ruler of the power of the air, and the ruler of this world. Apparently at some point after God created him, he decided he was just as good as God and starting trying to create his own reign of the humans on earth.

We have often heard about a war in heaven. This was supposed to be the time when all the rebellious Angels and Satan are thrown out. But through the research I have found, there might be a question as to if and when this war actually happens. Some of the research indicates that it won't be until after the 7 year tribulation, when Jesus will fight with Satan and take the keys to hell from him, and lock him up for a thousand years.

The consensus seems to be, that God is aware of Satan's coming and goings. That Satan still walks to and fro between the earth and Heaven. John was told in Revelation that the things he heard and saw were “Revelations of things to come”. We have no way of knowing for sure that there has been war in Heaven yet.

What we can be certain of tho, is the return of Jesus and the comfort that he will lock Satan and his followers away in Hell for a thousand years. We are guaranteed a life after this one if we believe in Jesus and try our very best to live as he said we should. Basically following the original ten commandments is a good place to start in living day by day for Jesus.

Don't let another day go by without repenting and accepting Jesus as Savior. Too many signs are falling into place that indicate it won't be long before Jesus comes back for his children (believers) and Satan rules the earth for seven years. Accept him now and be assured that you have a life in Heaven after this one. A life, where you will be given a new body that will never hurt, age or be sick. A life where all the worries and stress of this world do not exist.

Prayers are Answered

Do you pray as often as you should? Did you know you can pray anywhere, anytime of the day or night? There are several different kinds of prayer. There is the prayer of forgiveness, asking for forgiveness of our sins, then ther is the prayer of Thanksgiving, where you are thanking God for his blessings and answers to prayer.There is the prayer of Adoration or Praise, where we are just giving God the Glory, because, well because he is God.

Intercessory prayer is praying for God to intercede in someones live, usually the person is being attacked by the devil, is a non believer or has some issues in their life that need to be taken care of.

Then there is the prayer of petition, where you are asking God for something, something you need, and even something you want. It is ok to ask for things you want as long as there isn't greed involved.

Then there is the quick,spur of the moment, one or two word prayer such as "help me, god, thankyou god". A one very wise Pastor friend of mine said when you don't know or aren't sure how to pray, to just treat prayer as if Jesus was sitting in the car with you, or in a chair by your bed, and talk to him as you would a friend under those circumstances.

Recently I had a chance to really say the "Thankyou prayer". We had been praying about several needs in our lives. We have been praying for several months on these needs, and just asking God to give us the patience to wait on his answer.

On Friday, even though the day started out kind of bad, with my Hubby having some medical problems, we had four different prayers answered one right after another. He no sooner got off his cell phone where a prayer was answered on a new medicine for his condition, that I found out I had a new part time income that was going to pay right away. After that we found out some other financial mess was being taken care and would be able to help us out starting next month. Then when we got home and read our mail, 15000.00 worth of bills I owed were completely erased.

Isn't God awesome. So no matter what you are praying for, don't give up. Sometimes it seems like God doesn't answer our prayers quick enough, or the way we want. But he will answer them when he determines it is time, and always in the best way for all concerned. Just pray the prayer of patience. Pray for him to give you patience to wait on his answer to your prayers.

He will give you the patience, and he will answer your prayers. God does not fail. He is God!!!!

The Watchers

The Watchers : Fallen Angels

The first mention of the watchers was in Genesis. The watchers are also referred to as the fallen angels.

When men began to increase on earth and daughters were born to them, the divine beings saw how beautiful the daughters of men were and took wives from among those that pleased them. The LORD said, 'My breath shall not abide in man forever, since he too is flesh; let the days allowed him be one hundred and twenty years.' It was then, and later too, that the Nephilim appeared on earth - when the divine beings cohabited with the daughters of men, who bore them offspring. They were the heroes of old, the men of renown." - Genesis 6:1-4

The second reference of the watchers comes from the book of Psalms.

God standeth in the Congregation of God (El)
In the midst of gods (elohim) He judgeth
All the foundations of the earth are moved.
I said: Ye are gods,
And all of you sons of the Most High (Elyon)
Nevertheles ye shall die like men,
And fall like one of the princes (sarim)
Psalm 82:1, 5-7

This reference in The First book of Enoch gives an account of the fall of the Angels

"In those days, when the children of man had multiplied, it happened that there were born unto them handsome and beautiful daughters. And the angels, the children of heaven , saw them and desired them; and they said to one another, 'Come, let us choose wives for ourselves from among the daughters of man and beget us children.' And Semyaz, being their leader, said unto them,'I fear that perhaps you will not consent that this deed should be done, and I alone will become (responsible) for this great sin.' But they all responded to him, 'Let us all swear an oath and bind everyone among us by a curse not to abandon this suggestion but to do the deed.' Then they all swore together and bound one another by (the curse) And they were altogether two hundred;" - 1 Enoch 6:1-7

And here the first book of Enoch gives reference to the creation of demons,

"Here shall stand in many different appearances the spirits of the angels which have united themselves with women. They have defiled the people and will lead them into error so that they will offer sacrifices to the demons as unto gods, until the great day of judgment in which they shall be judged till they are finished." - 1 Enoch 19:1

There is believed to be, however good and bad watchers. The good watchers being fallen Angels who feel remorse for their sins and try to atone by helping and intervening when people are in trouble with demons and evil spirits.

Why Do We Complain About the Weather

I'm standing by the back door. It's been snowing since last night and it's not what the weather man predicted. As I'm standing there watching the big tree out back with its limbs black against the grey sky, looking like they are trying to claw their way to up to Heaven, I started thinking about how much we complain about the weather.

It seems that we are never satisfied. In the summer we complain about the heat and humidity, in the Winter we complain about the cold and Snow. God made this world diversified for a reason. He created Seasons for a reason. He planned for the Earth to rest once in awhile, so it could rejuvenate itself and strengthen itself for a new crop.

So maybe we should look at Winter as the time to rest a little bit. To sit back and reflect on whats going on in our lives. Maybe we are meant to take the time we spend indoors because of the cold and use it to research God's word, to really look at what he wants for us, and most importantly, to look at what he has given us.

More about Angels

Matthew 22:30 Tells us that Angels are not glorified Humans, they were created before we were.

Hebrews 12:22-23 Tells us that we will be met in Heaven by Myriads of Angels. We do not become Angels. Angels are a not a race descended from ancestors as we are.

Angels were created for specific reasons, the first is to worship and praise God. He also uses them as messengers, ex: the angel came to tell Mary about the baby Jesus. They are used for Guiding- per the instructions of God. They are used to provide certain things when God instructs them to: Ex: Giving food to Hagar.

Angels are also used by God to Protect us, keep us from harm, to deliver us when we get into situations that are dangerous or detrimental to us. He uses them to give us messages of strength and encouragement.

God also sends his Angels, under his instruction as answers to certain prayers. Angels are also used for caring for believers at the moment of their death, and escorting them to heaven.

Angels are constantly among us. If you have seen an Angel or talked to one,it is not by accident, it is by God's will. They do not randomly roam the earth looking for people to save or talk to.

The only Angels that would contact you without God's specific instructions would be the fallen Angels. They are no longer angels though, they are demons, however it is the belief of some that all of these Angels are not evil.

It is believed that there is a group, who were remorseful for following Satan in his rebellion, that they decided not to follow his lead here on earth. They are believed to go around seeking out people who need help, and helping. They are called " Watchers."

Billy Graham

I write articles for a site. They usually pay me 5.00 per article, but I like doing it because I learn a lot of things. There is usually a list to pick from and I cna write up to 7 articles a day right now. Tonight I picked the subject of "Billy Graham". When I started doing my research, I was totally amazed at what he has accomplished.

Besides his crusades that eventually became world wide, he was also counselor to several of our presidents. He has had a personal audience with every president since Harry S. Truman.

His ministry started in 1943 - thats 55 years of preaching and spreading God's word. That is just utterly awesome. I think that is the longest reaching ministry I have ever heard of. And the legend and ministry will continue because of his son Franklin Graham. In Fact almost all of his children are involved or sponsor some kind of ministry.

He actually received several awards too( the Congressional Gold medal, The Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Honorary Kinight Commander of the Order of the British Empire.)

I have no doublt this man has a very special place waiting for him in heaven.

Angels not Mentioned in the Kings James Bible

I have noticed that there are Books mentioned in the Old Testament that are not included in the Kings James Version of the Bible. If they are referred to in Genesis and Samuel as well as other books, shouldn't they have been included? For instance, the book of Jasher is mentioned a couple times as well as the Book of Enoch.

The Book Enoch mentions a whole lot about fallen Angels. It even mentions them by name. For instance, Chapter 69 verses 2 and 3 name 21 fallen angels. Samjaza, Artaqifa, Armen, Kokabel, Turael, Rumjal, Danjal, Neqael, Baraqel, Danjal, Azazel, Armaros, Batarjal, Busasejal, Hananel, Turel, Simapesiel, Jetrel, Tumael, Turel,and Rumael are the 21 names mentioned.

Verses 4 through 12 describe the Angels that brought weapons and the knowledge of war, lust and fornication, evil counsel, and the worship of evil spirits and demons. Their names were Jeqon, Asbeel, Gadreel, Penemue, and Kasdeja.

If these books are referred to in the Holy Bible, but were not included, is there a reason? Could it be that someone decided man should not know about these Angels?

According to the book of Enoch, these Angels will roam the earth until judgement day. They are among us. Beware of these Angels. If you think you have an Angel encounter, let your heart decide if it is a Good Angel or Bad Angel. If the Angel tells you something you know in your heart is not right or true, then be certain, this is an Angel you do not want to listen to.

When the world seems to be closing around you, and you see no way out, it is a sad day.

So many people today say they don't believe in God, they don't believe in Jesus, they don't believe in Angels and they don't even believe in Satan. So what do they believe in. Apparently nothing. You would have to believe in God to even begin to believe in yourself.

Angels are God's messengers. They come down to visit us. Sometimes they literally walk among us, looking like just another person on the street. We don't even know they are there. Sometimes they may appear as bright light.

Are you still a skeptic. Is your life meaningless because you feel you have nothing to believe in. Have you tried believing in God?

There is a story that was told on the "Today Show" on December 23rd, 2008 that reveals another Angel sighting. Follow the link to see it. It is almost heartbreaking about the little girl in the story. I don't understand how anyone who sees it could still be skeptical about Angels.

We are Expanding to All Things Concerning God

I've been doing a lot of reading in the old testament lately. My husband and I decided to start from the beginning and read all the way through the bible, so we read every morning.

I've talked a lot about Angels, but there is no reason that this blog can't be dedicated to all things concerning "God". After all, he created the Angels, the Universe, this World , and of course Us.

You know, where he is concerned, we really have it made today. In the old testament, he actually handed whole cities over to the children of Israel. Obliterated a lot of them, himself. Then when the children of Israel turned away from him, his punshiment on them was very severe.

And the punsihment did not just affect the offenders. He would issue punishment through all the generations of the offenders , sometimes until their genealogical line was all killed off.

He doesn't do that now. Our judgement will come when we face him face to face. But we really should be doing something about that, shouldn't we?

So many of things mentioned in the bible have come to pass, and others are in the process, so we should take it literally. Especially the part where the Rapture comes, and the Tribulation. They are not that far off, and we should be preparing now for them. If you don't know the Lord, then maybe that should be your very next step in this life.

Invisible Angels

I've talked a lot about Angel encounters. I've retold some of my own stories and those of people close to me. We already know tht Angels can appear as Human looking. All research tells us tht Angels are Spirits though, they are not like us other than they can appear to look like us. They are the servants of God.

Many people say they have seen an Angel, including myself. Angels do exist, to do the will of God. Since it is assumed that the number of Angels are equal to the number of humans that will ever be on the earth, then there is a possibility that each of us has an Angel assigned to us.

We cannot call on them, but they may be watching over us, protecting us in certain situations according to God's will.

Can an Angel be invisible. Of course. Have you ever been in a uncomfortable or dangerous situation, and felt like someone was watching you, or even standing next to you? And just when things come to a boiling point, and you could be hurt or even killed, something happens to change the events, and you come out unscathed?

Maybe what you felt was your angel. The Bible does not say we can call on an Angel and ask them to do something for us. NO , we are to call on God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. So if we have Invisible Angels watching over us, actual Guardian Angels, they are not allowed to interfere unless they are instructed to do so.

Remember that Angels are Spritual, not flesh and blood. God created them before he created Adam, but they were made to do his bidding, not ours. They cannot heal us, healing comes from the father. They cannot do anything unless they are directed by God. Yes they have free will, example: Satan, but those who are in Heaven have chosen to do God's will.

Guardian Angels, They heed our Call?

I’ve been doing some more research on Angels. I ran across several sites that believe Angels exist, which is already Biblically confirmed. What interests me are the ones that claim they have spoken to “their” angel and know them by name. They claim to be able to call on their angel for help and healing. From what I’ve read in the Bible, Angels are Gods servants and messengers, not ours. We aren’t supposed to worship anyone but God, we are supposed to go to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit with all our needs.. No where in the Bible does it say anything about calling on “our” Angels for help and healing.

Granted there are sections in the Bible that indicate the possibility of the number of Angels being equivalent to the number of humans that will inhabit the earth before it ends, which leaves the possibility that we do have Guardian Angels, but in referring to the Bible history, I don’t think that they can act on their own.

I’ve read where the Angels have free will, EX; Lucifer, but as far as interfering in anything in our Lives, I truly believe that they must have Gods command to do that. After all, he created them just as he created us. If they do something outside of God’s will on their own, wouldn’t that be the same as us committing a sin?

If we do have Guardian Angels, then they only intervene in our Lives when God and only God instructs them to. If they act on their own without the Heavenly Father’s instruction, then they are acted outside of his will, and could risk being cast down from Heaven??

The only names of Angels mentioned in the Bible are Gabriel, Michael and Lucifer. Seraphim, Cherubim, and Arch Angels are mentioned, but not by name. So in conclusion, asking an Angel to help you or heal you would probably be like asking the wind to help you or heal you. They are spirits sent to do Gods will and his will only.

If we do in fact have Guardian Angels, and they are supposed to protect us, then it is Gods command that they do, and that would be the reason he sent them. They do not come on our call, and they do not help or heal us at OUR request.

The only actual names of Angels mentioned in the Bible is Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer.

Michael is the warrior angel, as mentioned in Daniel 10:13, Daniel 12:1, and Revelation 12:7.

Lucifer was thrown out of heaven for rebelling against God

Gabriel was the messenger Angel as mentioned in Daniel 8:16, Daniel 9:21, Luke 1:19 and Luke 1:26. It is also believed that Gabriel was the Angel that came to Mary and told her of the child she would bear, and came to Joseph in his dream and told him to take Mary as his Wife.

Other than those three names the bible makes the following references to Angels:
Angel of the Lord, Angel of God, His Angel, an Angel, Mine Angel, An Angel of God, Angel from Heaven, Strong Angel, Angel of the bottomless pit, Mighty Angel, Holy Angels, The Devil and his Angels, Angel of Light ( referring to the Devil)

Descriptions of Angels.

What does an Angel look like? The Bible describes them mostly as appearing like men, However there are other images that they have appeared in.

Daniel saw an Angels whose appendages seemed to be made of metal and jewels. He describes the face as looking like lightening.

The angel that rolled back the stone is described as being a dazzling light.

The Angels that visited Abraham were presented as men. The Angels that were sent to Sodom and Gomorrah appeared as men.

In Revelations, there are beings described that are assumed to be Angels. Four beasts with full of eyes in front and behind, one of them like a calf, one like a lion, one with the face of a man and the last like that of a flying eagle. Each with six wings.

In more recent appearances, some of the Angels have appeared as women, however it is believed that Angels are neither man or woman.

First Wave of Angels -Old Testament

The first wave of Angels was in the Old Testament. Most of the appearances were Angels delivering messages. Abrahams family had quite a few visits compared to anyone else in the Bible.

The Angel appeared to Hagar, the mother of Abrahams first born son,Ishmael. Three Angels appeared to Abraham and Sarah and announced that they would have children in their old age, Isaac was born 9 months later.

Interpretations of the Bible show that the number of Angels shall be the number of people on the earth ( as related in an earlier blog) so the idea that we have Guardian Angels doesn't seem that far off. Shedrach, Mesach and Abendigo stood in the fire and there stood a fourth person with them. Some believe it was a guardian Angel sent to protect them.

In Tobit in the book of Apocrypha(one of the books of the old testament that did not make into later editions) Tobits son Tobias meets the Angel of healing disguised as a fellow traveler.

Fallen Angels

We talked about the Nephilim before. Here is a little more information about the Fallen Angels.

What caused the Angels to be banished from Heaven. According to some historians, it was Freewill, Lust and Pride. Pride being the worst, and pride being where the Angels thought they were equal to or better than God. The main one mentioned was Lucifer, which in Latin means "as fallen from Heaven". Christianity refers to him and Satan as being one and the same. Clarification of that is not readily available since the doctrines are interpreted differently by everyone.

According to some others, there were three books of Enoch in the Pseudipigrapha which was supposed to have been in the old testament. These books relate that God asked Grigori (watchers) to help the Archangels with the creation of Eden. And the Grigori saw earth daughters and lusted after them, some taking wives and having offspring which are referred to as the giants "Nephilim".

God saw the sins of these Angels and that is supposed to be one of the reasons he sent the flood. Four Angels are listed in this account as some of the main angels that committed this atrocity against God. They are Senyazza, Samael, Azazel and of course Lucifer.

Angel Trivia-Who Was Gabriel?

Who was Gabriel. Gabriel means " my master is God". Some sources say he was the angel that appeared unto Mary and explained who and what her child would be. Other sources say that Gabriel did not appear until the book of Daniel, and even other sources think he was and is the "Angel of Death".

Christians and Muslims alike believe that Gabriel was the Archangel who foretold the the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus.

The Catholic Encyclopedia says he was the "Angel of Incarnation and Consolation" because he is believed to be the Angel that explained the vision of the horned ram portending the destruction of the Persian Empire by the Macedonian Alexander the Great. It also says goes on to say that Christian traditions lists him as the "Angel of Mercy" and Michael as the "Angel of Judgement

Nephilim - Fallen Angels or Man?

The Bible account describing Gods displeasure with men in the days of Noah before the Flood relates that "the sons of the true God" took for themselves wives from among the attractive daughters of men. It then mentions the presence of "Nephilim," saying: "The Nephilim proved to be in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of the true God continued to have relations with the daughters of men and they bore sons to them, they were the mighty ones [Hebrew, hag·gib·bo·rim′] who were of old, the men of fame."-Genesis 6:1-4.

The Hebrew definition of Nephilim is “fallen” . I guess you could say, judging from the verse above, since they were “sons of God” and not “sons of man”, they were fallen angels. Now the question comes. Since they joined with Human women, could their descendants still be walking the earth today. There are mentions of remains of giants found all the time. Some believe these are the remains of some of Nephilim and their offspring. But since we are the descendant of Adam and Eve, how could we say that their descendants aren’t among us?

Think about it, if the Nephilim were the angels that went with Satan out of Heaven, and Satan still exists, then how can we discount that they still exist?

Who is Michael?

Who is Michael? Michael is referred to as the Chief of the Angels. His name means: one who is like God. He is listed as the first Archangel.
You can see that his name appears several times in Daniel.

More Trivia about Angels

Angels are not glorified humans.
We are called “sons of men” but they were not called “sons of God”
Angels are spirits, they did not always exist, they were created by God just as we were.
They are not subject to death or extinction
They can only be in one place at a time
They are ministering spirits
Sometimes they appear as a male (in the bible) and sometimes they appear dazzling white and blazing glory.
They never appear in the Bible as females, however many have seen female angels.
The only two angels mentioned by name in the Bible is Gabriel and Michael. Satan is mentioned but at the time was no longer considered an angel
Gabriel means “God is strength”
Michael means “who is like God”
Archangel means highest ranking

Remember, don’t trust every angel, Satan had angels that followed him when he was removed from heaven and they probably could appear as good angels to the un-suspecting. Your heart will tell you if it is a good angel

Hebrew word for Angel is "Malak" which means messenger, the Greek word for Angel is "Aggelos" which also means messenger. The Author of Hebrews describes "Angels" as "ministering spirits sent out to render services for the sake of those who will inherit Salvation"

In Genesis alone there are multiple verses that mention"Angel"

How many Angels are there?? Some believe that there is an Angel for every human that will ever be born on earth. Some references state that the Angels were created when God created the Heavens, before he created the earth. Angels are servants of God. They were created all at once. They were not born, as we were, and they do not recreate as we do.

Who Was the Man Standing by Her Bed?

She was new at this Christian stuff. She was doing everything she thought she should, praying, reading her bible, going to Church, changing the way she thought and acted. So why was she having these horrible dreams all of a sudden?

For three nights the dream was the same. She felt lifted off the bed, and couldn't move or speak. She felt such horrible fear. Then on the third night she remembered that they had talked at church about god being able to hear your thoughts. So she yelled inside her head "God Help Me!".

She fell with such speed and force that she bounced off the bed, taking her covers with her and realizing, that this was not a dream. As she tried to untangle, she saw a man standing by her bed. He was staring ahead with a very stern expression on her face. She tried to see where he was looking and when she turned back he was gone. It never happened again.

She had been a preachers wife for several years. When he was in revival she would always manage the music. She had the voice of an angel.

Then she had a massive heart attack. And as he sat by her bed she lay their unconcious with monitors and tubes all over her. The doctor said they had done everything they could. There wasn't much more they could do, and they did not think she would make it until the morning. It was suggested that he go home and get some rest. They would call him right away if there was any change, one way or the other.

He didn't think he could live without her, so on the way home he bought a gun from someone on the street. He laid out her prettiest dress on the bed and lay down beside it. He already had it figured out in his head how he would do it. When they called from the hospital, he would go and say his farewell, make an appearance for the families sake, and then he would come home and take his own life.

As he thought on these things for several hours, the call came in. They didn't say much except that he needed to get to the hospital right away.

He almost passed out when he walked in her room. There she sat in bed, wide awake, all the monitors and tubes gone. She tells him she woke up and there was a woman standing at the end of the bed smiling at her and said "its not your time" and then the woman was gone. She was released several days later with a clean bill of health.

She sat across from him in the bar and very calmly informed him that she had put something in his drink to poison him. It wasn't long after that he started getting sick. After several trips to the bathroom he blacked out. He went into a grand mal seizure and they called an ambulance for him.

The emergency personnel had worked and worked on him. They all stood around trying to think of anything they hadn't tried. Just as they were calling the time , getting ready to take all the monitors off and put a tag on his toe, she walked in.

The only description anyone could give is that she appeared to be one of the EMT personnel, but know one knew her. She walked up to the gurney and said "we're not giving up on him yet" and laid her hand on his heart.

His heart starting beating again. When they had stabilized him and sent him to his room, no one could find this women, no one knew her name, where she came from, only that she had been there and now she was gone.
Was it the simple touch of her hand on his heart that started it beating again?

Do Angels Really Exist
